Medical Students

The practice is an undergraduate teaching practice, hosting medical students throughout 4 of their 5 years from the University of Sheffield’s Medical school. These students may sit in with our GPs during consultations etc. We will always check if you are happy with this and you have the right to decline, if you wish.

You may also be offered an appointment and be seen by a 3rd or 4th year medical student prior to you seeing a GP as part of their learning.

Patients with certain medical conditions may be contacted and invited to take part in teaching 1st and 2nd year medical students in small groups.

Participating and helping with medical student education is something our patients really enjoy getting involved with and it is a way for them to give something back and help train the next generation of doctors.
