The idea is simple - we ask what the problem is before an appointment is released.
The admin staff on reception cannot release an appointment with any of the GPs without approval first. by the on-call Dr.
Although this may initially seem obstructive, we have found it to be a really efficient way of responding to a very high demand on our services.
